Since the world is experiencing the rapid development of publishing digitization, the 2018 Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) will focus on the integration of media by setting up the all-new digital zone.  This new exhibit area will highlight the world's latest developments in digital technologies and content industry including the in-depth fusion of the Internet and related technologies with traditional publications. Exhibitors in the digital zone will display new interactive media, technical and content services, AI and Big Data systems. The digital zone aims to establish the international and professional cross-border platform for cooperation, featuring integration and innovation for publishers and service providers in media.  Exhibitions and descriptions of services by companies will offer solutions for the publishing industry's transition to digitization.

To discuss the new topics in the field of global digital/online publishing and disseminate the research results in the area, the one day Digital Forum will be held in the BIBF digital zone.  Guest speakers will present innovative applications in the publishing industry.  This Forum will attended by representatives from domestic and overseas companies.  The Digital Form will share latest news, provide insights into the industry, review the world's premium digital contents and technologies.  There will be many opportunities to establish partnership with the participants along the industrial chain.

Hosted by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China (SAPPRFT), and organized by China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation (CNPIEC), the BIBF is now a book fair in China with the largest participation and influence in Asia.  Since 1986, the BIBF has quickly grown into the world's second largest book fair after the Frankfurt Book Fair. The 24th Beijing International Book Fair or BIBF, held in 2017, attracted more than 2,000 exhibitors from 89 countries and regions in the world. It has become an important platform and bridge that facilitates copyright and translation rights transactions of many types, including Chinese and overseas print and digital multimedia publications, as well as import and export of physical publications and reading promotion.
